Metallica - Some Kind of Monster

I would like to preface this by saying that I am in no way a Metallica fan. That being said, this is a fantastic film. Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky do an outstanding job in this documentary about a band teetering on the edge, a sarcastic remark or bad song away from total destruction. The camera catches everything: idiotic self-absorbed rock stars, a highly dysfunctional family and at times a group of down to earth guys who seem to be in over their heads. The documentary is well made and I couldn't help becoming involved in the story and the people involved. My dislike of the band and Lars Ulrich took a backseat to the fly on the wall fun of this movie.
