A quick look at movie posters that have caught my eye.

Off in the distance


This seems to be a common but effective technique used more in horror films.


Casting shadows


The use of shadow for dramatic effect. The Changeling's tagline is a nice, creepy touch. Many people like the Episode 3 poster with Vader's face in the cape as opposed to this Episode 1 poster. To me, the Episode 3 poster looks like an Al Jaffe fold-in.


Just beneath the surface


Another staple of the horror genre. I think it's fair to say that horror movies have the coolest posters.
