Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

I tend to have the ability to pick out movies that have incoherent
plots but great acting. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is an original, stylish
movie. Above all, it is VERY well acted. Val Kilmer and Robert
Downey Jr. both give their best perfomances in years. Kilmer as the
sarcastic gay P.I. and Downey as the soft New Yorker who wishes to
be tough.
I would like to get into the plot, but I'm not sure I quite
understand what the hell it was all about. It was basically a crime
novel wrapped in another crime novel. Eventually, I lost intrest in
the plot because of the rambling incoherence of it and the fine
acting that distracted me. It sounds like I dislike the movie but
nothing could be further from the truth. Scene for scene, it's
probably the most original movie I've seen in a long time. As
confusing as the script is, it somehow still doesn't take away from
the enjoyment of watching this movie.
